Anthem to tap 2.375% notes due 2025, sell new notes due 2030, 2050

Los Angeles, April 30 – Anthem, Inc. plans to issue new notes due 2030 and 2050 as well as additional 2.375% notes due 2025, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The tap issue will form a single series with Anthem’s $850 million of 2.375% notes due 2025 issued on Sept. 9, 2019.

BofA Securities, Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for working capital and general corporate purposes.

Anthem is a health benefits company based in Indianapolis.
