Moody's assigns A2 rating to Northeastern University, Mass., bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to Northeastern University's $237 million of revenue bonds, series Q, R and S, issued through the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority.

Moody's has also assigned an A2/VMIG1 rating to the $210 million series T1, T2 and T3 bonds. The short-term rating on the series T bonds is backed by the university's own liquidity.

The university expects to sell $87.2 million series Q bonds, $93.74 million series R bonds, $56.385 million series S bonds and $210 million series T bonds, all on May 14.

The outlook is stable. The rating on previously issued bonds has also been affirmed.
