Markit announces removals from Markit LCDX indexes

New York, March 27 - Markit announced the following removals from the Markit LCDX index: Aleris International, Inc., Allied Waste North America, Inc., Alltel Communications, LLC, Hawaiian Telcom Communications, Inc., Lyondell Chemical Co., Masonite International Corp., Smurfit Stone Container Enterprises, Inc., Tribune Co., Charter Communications Operating, LLC, General Growth Properties, Inc. and Idearc Inc.

As already reported, the series 12 roll is set for April 15.

The investment banks licensed to trade the Markit CDX indexes are ABN Amro, Bank of America, BNP Paribas, Barclays Capital, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS and Wachovia.

Markit provides independent data, portfolio valuations and over-the-counter derivatives trade processing to the financial markets.
