Marin County, Calif., prepares to sell $63.8 million COPs Sept. 28

New York, Sept. 17 - Marin County in California is expected to price $63.8 million in series 2010 certificates of participation on Sept. 28, according to a notice of sale.

The COPs (Aa2/AA+/) will be sold competitively with Wulff Hansen & Co. as the financial adviser.

The certificates are due 2011 to 2040.

Proceeds will be used to modernize and renovate 43 county-owned buildings, including the Marin County Civic Center, as well as to upgrade the county's fire department and to construct a new emergency operations facility.

Marin's county seat is San Rafael, Calif.
