Manitoba Telecom sets up C$500 million medium-term note program

Madison, Wis., Aug. 23 - Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. established a C$500 million medium-term note program on Aug. 10, according to a news release.

Under the program, the company may issue medium-term notes periodically over the next 25 months.

Proceeds will allow the company to refinance its debt and provide it with flexibility to pursue its business strategies.

Manitoba Telecom, through its wholly owned subsidiary MTS Allstream Inc., is a Winnipeg, Man.-based national communication services company.
