Manitoba Hydro bonds to be listed; interest rate set at 1.75% for all outstanding floaters

Prospect News, June 10 - The Province of Manitoba Finance Department announced on Friday the interest rates for the recently priced Manitoba Hydro series 11 bonds, which will be listed on the Canadian National Stock exchange on June 16.

The series 11 Hydro bonds sold from May 24 through Tuesday will be listed under the following symbols:

• "HKA.DB.A" for 2.3% annual fixed-rate notes due June 15, 2014;

• "HKA.DB.B" for 2.5% annual fixed-rate notes due June 15, 2016;

• "HKC.DB" for 2.75% compound fixed-rate notes due June 15, 2016; and

• "HKF.DB" for 1.75% annual floating-rate notes due June 15, 2016.

The province also announced that effective on Wednesday, the interest rate for all outstanding floating-rate bonds, which are adjustable and redeemable annually, has been set at 1.75%. The rate will be adjusted on the outstanding series 10 builder bonds due June 15, 2013 (BJF.DB), series 11 builder bonds due June 15, 2014 (BKF.DB), series 12 builder bonds due June 15, 2015 (BL.DB.F) and series 10 builder bonds due June 15, 2012 (HJF.DB).

In addition, Manitoba Finance will delist four bonds upon maturity on Wednesday. The delisted bonds are series 10 three-year annual fixed-rate builder bonds (BJA.DB.A), series 9 five-year annual fixed-rate Hydro bonds (HIA.DB.B), series 9 five-year annual floating-rate Hydro bonds (IFH.DB) and series 9 five-year compound fixed-rate Hydro bonds (HIC.DB).
