Manistique Papers five-member unsecured creditors committee appointed

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 23 - Manistique Papers Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by Region 3 U.S. Trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Robert Malaski of Cloverland Electric Cooperative of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; Ben Irwin of Louis Padnos Iron & Metal Co. of Holland, Mich.; Lloyd Stirmer of Flom Corp. of Laurel. Md.; David Jury of United Steelworkers of Pittsburgh; and Peter Argiriou of BASF Corp. of Florham Park, N.J.

Manistique Papers, a Manistique, Mich., recycled fiber specialty paper producer, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 12. Its Chapter 11 case number is 11-12562.
