Management Network investors voice support for Riley's nomination to board of directors

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., March 26 - Management Network Group, Inc. investors Potomac Capital Management, LLC, Potomac Capital Management, Inc. and Paul J. Solit, with a 16.72% stake in the company, support Bryant Riley's request to join Management Network's board of directors.

The investors believe Riley could add value as a Management Network board member, and Potomac cited Riley's service on numerous boards and his demonstrated track record of "creating value and representing shareholder interests," a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission stated.

Riley Investment Management LLC submitted Riley's name to Management Network for consideration to join the company's board of directors at the suggestion of the board, a March 20 SEC filing said.

Riley is founder and managing member of Riley Investment Management and is founder and chairman of B. Riley & Co., LLC.

In a letter to Management Network, Riley said he has "significant" corporate board experience. He is currently a member of the boards of Aldila, Alliance Semiconductor and DDi Corp.

Riley Investment Management and its affiliates own 12.1% of Management Network, making them the company's second-largest shareholder, the March 20 filing stated.

Management Network Group is an Overland Park, Kan., consulting firm that provides services to the converging communications, media and entertainment industries.
