Fitch rates Malopolska AA-, stable view

Fitch Ratings said it assigned the region (Voivodship) of Malopolska in Poland a national long-term AA-(pol) rating with stable outlook. Fitch said this corrects an error in Fitch's rating of Malopolska reported Sept. 22.

The rating reflects the region's satisfactory operating performance, increased financial flexibility and low debt ratios, Fitch said.

But it also takes into account pressure on capital expenditure, expected increase of debt and risk related to the unsolved problem of its health care sector, Fitch said.

The outlook reflects Fitch's expectations that the region will perform adequately and maintain satisfactory operating performance, reflecting its tight control on operating expenditures.
