Fitch rates Malopolska A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Poland's region of Malopolska long-term foreign-currency and local-currency ratings of A-. The agency withdrew its national long-term rating of AA(pol).

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect Malopolska's sound budgetary performance, high financial flexibility, prudent budgetary management and strong debt protection ratios, Fitch said.

They also factor in indirect risk related to guarantees issued to the healthcare sector and pressure on operating spending on the region's rail public transport services, the agency said.
