Malaysia Building Society to launch up to RM 7 billion sukuk programs

Madison, Wis., Oct. 28 - Malaysia Building Society Bhd. is proposing to establish a 15-year structured covered sukuk program of up to RM 3 billion, according to a Bursa Malaysia announcement.

In addition, the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Jana Kapital Sdn. Bhd., plans to set up a 16-year sukuk program of up to RM 4 billion.

The Securities Commission Malaysia approved the sukuk programs on Oct. 25.
