Fitch rates Maine health, education bonds AA

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an AA rating to $47 million Maine Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority revenue bonds, series 2008C. Fitch also affirmed its rating on about $1.4 billion of the authority's outstanding reserve fund resolution bonds at AA.

The series 2008C bonds are scheduled to sell through negotiation during the week of May 26. Proceeds will be used to fund or refinance loans to six educational and medical institutions in Maine, the agency said.

The outlook is stable.
