Macquarie adds Nobels as a managing director in infrastructure, energy

By William Gullotti

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 13 – Macquarie Capital appointed Kevin Nobels as a managing director in its infrastructure and energy capital group, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Nobels will be focused on driving investments and energy across Latin America in this new role, utilizing his experience in large-scale capital projects and operational transformation in the renewable energy, infrastructure, oil, gas and basic materials sectors in the region.

Prior to joining Macquarie Capital, Nobels spent 15 years at McKinsey & Co. focused on energy transition strategies and implementation, serving corporate clients across various sectors such as hydrogen, wind power, biofuels, energy efficiency and electrification. As partner based in São Paulo, he was the energy practice leader in Latin America who established the capital excellence program for the region. Before joining McKinsey & Co., he worked in the auto industry in Europe.

“Kevin brings further deep understanding of the Latin American market to Macquarie Capital, with his extensive expertise building and developing sustainable infrastructure to meet the demands of an increasingly urbanized society,” said Mark Bradshaw, global head of Macquarie Capital’s infrastructure and energy capital group, in the press release.

Macquarie Capital is the New York-based corporate advisory, principal investing and capital markets arm of Macquarie Group.
