Fitch revises Macedonia to positive

Fitch Ratings said it revised the outlooks on Macedonia's long-term foreign and local-currency issuer default ratings to positive from negative and affirmed the ratings at BB.

Fitch said the domestic political situation is stabilizing and key international relations are improving, after a prolonged political crisis between 2014 and 2017, which saw Macedonia suffer the second largest percentage drop in the World Bank governance indicator out of all Fitch-rated sovereigns.
