Midday Commentary: Trading sees muted start to week; recent Anglo American issues widen

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 24 - It was a "very quiet start to the week," one trader said on Monday of the day's activity level.

The recent issuances from Anglo American Capital plc widened in trading after seeing tighter levels last week.

The five-year notes widened 5 basis points from Friday's levels to 188 bps bid, 183 bps offered.

The notes were sold at a spread of 195 bps over Treasuries.

The 10-year notes widened 19 bps from late Friday to 242 bps bid, 235 bps offered.

The notes were priced at Treasuries plus 245 bps.
