S&P assigns SP-1+ to Los Angeles School TRANs

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an SP-1+ short-term rating to Los Angeles Unified School District's 2008-2009 series A tax revenue anticipation notes.

The dollar amount of the offering was not specified, but the district issued about $600 million in TRANs during each of the previous two fiscal years.
