Loral obtains bridge order on exclusivity

Washington, Dec. 22 - Loral Space & Communications Ltd. obtained a bridge order protecting its exclusive right to solicit votes for its reorganization plan until the scheduled Jan. 11 hearing when the court will take up the company's disclosure statement.

The bridge order was filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York Tuesday.

The New York-based satellite company wants the court to give it until March 31 to resolve disclosure statement issues.

Loral filed for bankruptcy on July 15, 2003. Its Chapter 11 case number is 03-41710.
