Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, N.Y., to sell $230 million bonds Tuesday

New York, June 12 - The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation of New York is scheduled on Tuesday to sell $230 million in series 2009 taxable bonds, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (Aaa/AAA/) will be sold through senior manager Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc.

The bonds are due Aug. 1, 2014.

Proceeds will be used to fund a variety of charities.

The foundation has its main office in New York City.
