Linc USA committee of unsecured creditors seeks to retain McKool Smith as counsel

New York, July 6 – Linc USA GP’s committee of unsecured creditors applied to hire McKool Smith PC as its general counsel, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Attorneys with McKool Smith charge between $380 and $750 per hour, said the motion. The hiring, if approved, will be retroactive to June 20.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Linc Energy is an energy producer with a commodity portfolio including oil, gas, shale and coal. Its U.S. subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy May 19 under Chapter 11 case number 16-32689.
