Lincoln Pharmaceuticals applies for new Misoprostol patent

Tampa, Fla., Aug. 28 - Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd. said Monday that it has applied for a patent for Misoprostol in a suppository form to control post-partum bleeding.

Misoprostol is available in oral doses, and the company added that the new introduction of this product may lead to a 10% increase in sales and profits.

Lincoln is a biopharmaceutical company based in Ahmedabad, India.
