LightSquared posts $52.7 million July net loss on $3.1 million sales

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 15 - LightSquared Inc. reported a $52.70 million net loss on $3.10 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Aug. 15 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The company reported a $47.17 million net loss for June on $3.65 million in revenues.
The company had $224.31 million in cash and cash equivalents at July 31, compared to $210.99 million in cash and cash equivalents at June 30.
LightSquared, a Reston, Va.-based wholesale-only 4G-LTE network integrated with satellite coverage, filed for bankruptcy on May 14. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-12080.
