Liberty Medical gets interim access to cash collateral through April 4

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, March 14 - Liberty Medical Supply, Inc. received interim court approval to use the cash collateral of its secured lender through April 4, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

This is Liberty Medical's second interim cash collateral order. The final hearing is scheduled for April 4.

The company said that if the cash collateral use had not been extended, it would not have had enough working capital and liquidity to continue operations.

Liberty Medical, a Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based health-care products home delivery provider, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 15. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-10262.
