New Issue: Liberty Global organizes $128.25 million private placement of shares

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 16 - Liberty Global, Inc. arranged a $128.25 million private placement of stock on Nov. 12, according to an 8-K filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will sell 4.5 million series A common shares and 1.5 million series C common shares at $21.375 per share to SPO Advisory Corp.

Goldman Sachs is the agent.

Proceeds will be used to help finance the company's planned €2 billion acquisition of Unitymedia GmbH and for general corporate purposes.

Liberty is a Denver-based broadband company.
