Loehmann's files April 7, June 13 proofs of claim deadlines with court

New York, Feb. 26 - LHI Liquidation Co. Inc., formerly Loehmann's Holding Inc., set an April 7 deadline for individuals or entities filing proofs of claim, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The claims deadline for government units is June 13.

Acceptable claims can be made for unused gift cards, store credits, injuries incurred or merchandise purchased at one of the debtor's stores before the company filed for Chapter 11, the filing stated.

If a claim is not made by the applicable deadline, it will not be addressed by the company or its successors.

Those with equity interests in the company are not required to file a proof of interest before either of the prescribed deadlines.

Loehmann's, a Melville, N.Y.-based retailer of women's clothing, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 15. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-14050.
