Lexington Precision requests exclusivity extension to restructure connector seals business

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Jan. 13 - Lexington Precision Corp. requested a third extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to April 27 from Jan. 26 and the solicitation period to June 25, 2009 from Feb. 25.

According to the motion, the extension is needed to give the company more time to consolidate and restructure its connector seals business.

Lexington Precision, a New York-based manufacturer of rubber and metal components for the automobile and medical devices industries, filed for bankruptcy on April 2, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11153.
