Levitz Home Furnishings unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Oct. 21 - Levitz Home Furnishings, Inc.'s U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 case, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee is comprised of:

* Sandra Spivey of US Bank, NA of Las Vegas as indenture trustee;

* Laurence A. Crink of Decoro USA, High Point, N.C.;

* William C. Stewart Jr. of Lise Style Furniture Co., Okolona, Miss.;

* Kim W. Cockerham of Klaussner Furniture Ind. Inc., Asheboro, N.C.;

* Kevin M. Bayer of Serta International, Hoffman Estates, Ill.;

* J. Reginals Kliewer of Palliser Furniture Ltd., Winnipeg, Manitoba; and

* Richard E. Caruso of Louise Partners, LP, Rosemont, Pa.

Levitz, a Woodbury, N.Y., furniture retailer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 11. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-45189.
