JPMorgan, Royal Bank of Scotland buy $27.58 million of Lehman claims

Pittsburgh, Aug. 4 - JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA and the Royal Bank of Scotland plc bought a total of $27.58 million in claims against Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., according to Wednesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, JPMorgan bought a $20.53 million claim from Banco de Oro Unibank, Inc., and Royal Bank of Scotland bought a $7.05 million claim from Integrys Energy Services, Inc.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
