Lehman reports assets, debt as of Dec. 31, cash and investment totals

Pittsburgh, May 3 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. had $14.704 billion in cash and investments at Dec. 31, according to a supplemental operating report filed Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

At Dec. 31, the company had $258.19 billion in total assets and $315.87 million in total debt.

Meanwhile, the company reported $16.621 billion in cash and investments at March 31.

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
