Lehman official unsecured creditors committee loses two members

Pittsburgh, Dec. 15 - Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc.'s U.S. trustee Diana G. Adams amended the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case to remove two members, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, James K. Schaeffer of Aegon USA Investment Management and Edward P. Gilbert of Shinsei Bank Ltd. are no longer members of the committee.

The amended committee is comprised of Stewart Hosansky of the Vanguard Group Inc. of Valley Forge, Pa.; James J. McGinley of indenture trustee Wilmington Trust Co. of New York; Gerard Facendola of the Bank of NY Mellon of New York; Noel P. Purcell of agent Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. of New York; and David Yu of Metlife, based in Morristown, N.J..

New York-based Lehman Brothers Holdings was the fourth-largest investment bank in the United States. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 15, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-13555.
