Legg Mason Global Currents All Cap portfolio to terminate in April

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Nov. 4 - The board of trustees of the Legg Mason Global Currents Variable International All Cap Opportunity Portfolio has determined that it is in the best interests of the fund and its shareholders to terminate the fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund is expected to cease operations on April 30, 2012. Before that date, the assets of the fund will be liquidated and the fund will cease to pursue its investment objective.

Shareholders may redeem their shares prior to the liquidation at the fund's net asset value per share. Each shareholder who remains in the fund will receive a liquidating distribution equal to the aggregate net asset value of the shares he or she holds.

The fund's adviser is Baltimore-based Legg Mason Global Asset Management.
