Legends Gaming looks to hire Oppenheimer as financial adviser

Pittsburgh, June 30 - Legends Gaming LLC is seeking court approval to hire Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. as its financial adviser, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

If approved, the hiring will be effective retroactive to May 22. Oppenheimer will replace previous financial adviser Mesirow Financial Consulting LLC.

Oppenheimer's duties will include helping Legends formulate a plan of reorganization or recapitalization and analyze the company's financial condition.

Legends Gaming owns and operates two gaming properties under the DiamondJacks Casino brand. The company is based in Frankfort, Ill. It filed for bankruptcy on March 11. The Chapter 11 case number is 08-10824.
