Legends Gaming seeks exclusivity extension to allow constituents to review financial data

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 17 - Legends Gaming LLC is seeking an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to Oct. 31 from July 9 and the solicitation period to Jan. 31, 2009 from Sept. 8.

Legends said it is providing financial and operational information to its major constituents and scheduling meetings for discussions on how to proceed with the restructuring.

According to the motion, when all creditor constituencies have completed their due diligence and developed an understanding of the company's business and financial affairs, Legends will attempt to negotiate a consensual plan of reorganization.

Legends Gaming owns and operates two gaming properties under the DiamondJacks Casino brand. The company is based in Frankfort, Ill. It filed for bankruptcy on March 11. The Chapter 11 case number is 08-10824.
