Banc of America top leveraged loan arranger for year to date

• Leveraged loan issuance totals $222.12 billion year to date

New York, Sept. 30 - Banc of America kept its perch at the top of the league table of leveraged loan arrangers for the year so far, according to data compiled by Prospect News.

It has now been number one year to date for five consecutive months. B of A had been leading for the year through March, but JPMorgan pushed ahead in April for a single month before B of A retook first place.

Issuance rebounded to $21.37 billion from $12.44 billion in August but still remained far below the year-ago level of $70.93 billion.

The year-to-date volume of leveraged loans is now $222.12 billion, 39% of the $570.25 billion for the first nine months of last year.

The Prospect News figures cover dollar-denominated deals in the United States. Credit for deals is divided among the lead arrangers.
