LDK Solar provisional liquidation proceeding to be concluded April 21

Pittsburgh, April 8 – LDK Solar Co., Ltd.’s provisional liquidation will conclude on April 21, according to a news release.

On Tuesday, the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands ordered that joint provisional liquidators Tammy Fu and Eleanor Fisher of Zolfo Cooper (Cayman) Ltd. will be discharged from their duties effective April 21, and the winding up petition presented by LDK Solar on Feb. 21 will be dismissed.

Fu and Fisher will remain in office in their capacity as the supervisors of LDK Solar’s schemes of arrangement, which took effect on Dec. 10.

LDK Solar is a manufacturer of photovoltaic products and is based in Xinyu City, China. The company made a Chapter 15 bankruptcy filing on Oct. 21 under case number 14-12387. LDK’s U.S. subsidiaries’ Chapter 11 case number is 14-12384.
