Latam Airlines reports voting results for class 5 and 7 claims

Chicago, May 9 – Latam Airlines Group, SA reported the voting results for its class 5 and class 7 claims, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Class 5 claims are general unsecured claims against Latam parent and class 7 is a general unsecured claim against Piquero Leasing Ltd.

Votes were due on Friday.

Kroll Restructuring Administration LLC tabulated the ballots and adjusted the results to account for instances where multiple ballots had been issued for a single proof of claim.

Accordingly, the adjusted results for class 5 are 279 votes to accept and 152 votes to reject with 64.73% accepting the plan. The accepting votes represent $3,886,464,840.07 of claims and the rejecting ballots represent $855,763,609.49 of claims, or 81.95% dollar amount accepting and 18.05% dollar amount rejecting.

For class 7, one voter accepted the plan, representing 100% of the vote. The voter represented a $40 million claim.

Class 1 votes are due on Tuesday.

Latam Airlines is a Santiago, Chile-based airline. The company filed bankruptcy on May 25, 2020 under Chapter 11 case number 20-11254.
