Las Vegas Sands chairman buys 12.6 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., April 2 - Adfam Investment Co. LLC bought 12,566,710 shares of Las Vegas Sands Corp. common stock in open-market transactions between March 27 and March 31 for a total of $37.39 million, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shares were priced from $2.78 to $3.15 each, the filing said.

Adfam is an affiliate of Las Vegas Sands chairman and chief executive officer Sheldon G. Adelson.

Adelson beneficially owns 197,505,635 shares, or 26.7%, of the Las Vegas-based resort developer's outstanding stock.
