Abiomed files shelf for 7.5 million common shares

Des Moines, Oct. 2 - Abiomed, Inc. registered 7.5 million shares of common stock in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company plans to use the proceeds for building its global distribution, research and development and for general corporate purposes.

Abiomed is a provider of medical products and services focusing on circulatory care.
