LandAmerica unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Dec. 3 - LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Wednesday by Region 4 U.S. trustee W. Clarkson McDow Jr., according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

The committee members include Donna Parisi of indenture trustee the Bank of New York Mellon, New York; Thomas E. Luther of the Prudential Insurance Co. of America, Chicago; Cynthia Hotksky of Vangent, Inc.; and Mark Steen of Citadel Equity Fund, Ltd., Chicago.

LandAmerica, a title insurance underwriter based in Glen Allen, Va., filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 26. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-35994.
