SPO Partners reports 24.5% stake in Lamar Advertising

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 19 - Investors led by SPO Partners II, LP increased their ownership stake in Lamar Advertising Co. to 24.5% with the purchase of 20,374 additional shares of the company's stock on July 21.

The shares were priced from $34.09 to $34.25 each, a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission reported.

SPO Partners now owns 18,640,071 shares of the Baton Rouge, La., outdoor advertising company.
