Moody's reviews Lafarge

Moody's Investors Service said it put Lafarge SA's Baa2 issuer and senior unsecured ratings under review for downgrade.

The action was prompted by results for the first nine months of 2008, which were weaker than expected, together with the challenging economic environment forecast for 2009 in many of its markets at a time when Lafarge still has a rather weak capital structure following its acquisition of Orascom Cement, according to the agency.
