New York, March 27 - Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Covered by the shelf are common stock and related rights to purchase series A junior participating preferred stock.

The San Diego, Calif., biopharmaceutical company develops therapeutics based on peptide analogs, primarily to regulate glucose metabolism.
