New York, Jan. 22 - John Hancock Life Insurance Co. priced $0.56 million of notes due Jan. 15, 2019 at par with a coupon of 5.3%, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest will be payable monthly.

The notes are callable one time at par on Jan. 15, 2010.

The notes are fully guaranteed by Manulife Financial Corp.
