Ameriprise plans to redeem 5.65% notes due 2015, 7.75% notes due 2039

Minneapolis, Sept. 3 - Ameriprise Financial, Inc. plans to use the proceeds of a senior note offering for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of all or part of its $700 million of 5.65% senior notes due 2015 and/or its $200 million of 7.75% senior notes due 2039, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Yankee Candle is a South Deerfield, Mass.-based designer, manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of scented candles.
