Ameriprise Financial plans sale of 30-year senior notes priced at $25

New York, May 26 - Ameriprise Financial, Inc. announced an offering of 30-year senior notes Tuesday, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The deal is expected to price Wednesday, a source close to the deal said.

The notes, which will mature on June 15, 2039, will pay interest quarterly.

The notes (A3/A/A-) will be priced at $25 each and are callable at par on or after June 15, 2014.

Bookrunners are Banc of America Securities LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., UBS Investment Bank and Wachovia Capital Markets LLC.

The notes are expected to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The financial planning and services company is based in Minneapolis.
