Ameriprise Financial to offer senior notes via five bookrunners

Buffalo, N.Y., March 6 – Ameriprise Financial Inc. is planning to offer a new series of fixed-rate senior notes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will feature a make-whole call followed by a par call.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, BofA Securities Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are the joint bookrunning managers.

U.S. Bank Trust Co., NA is the trustee.

Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is counsel to the issuer. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is counsel to the underwriters.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment of the company’s 4% senior notes due 2023.

The diversified financial services company is based in Minneapolis.
