Moody's: AmeriCredit view stable

Moody's Investors Service said it changed to stable from negative the outlook of AmeriCredit Corp. (senior unsecured at B1).

Moody's said that the change in outlook reflected the substantial improvement in the company's liquidity, asset quality, and profitability. This improvement is attributable to the right-sizing measures taken and the more balanced growth strategy adopted by the company following the difficulties it encountered during its fiscal year ended June 2003. The company's performance has also been aided by the turnaround in economic conditions, Moody's added.
