AmeriCredit extends offer for 1.75% convertibles

New York, Nov. 5 - AmeriCredit Corp. announced the extension of its offer to repurchase its 1.75% convertible notes due 2023 to midnight ET on Nov. 17 from 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 14.

The company said it will pay $1,002.50 per $1,000 principal amount plus accrued interest up to but excluding Nov. 18.

On Oct. 27, the company said it redeemed $114.7 million of the convertibles during the fiscal first quarter ended September. Book value was $16.49 per share at Sept. 30, according to the company's earnings release.

AmeriCredit is a Fort Worth, Texas-based subprime consumer finance company.
