Iusacell starts on debt restructuring

New York, Nov. 6 - Grupo Iusacell, SA de CV said it has begun evaluating alternatives for structuring its debt.

As part of that process, the Mexico City-based cellular phone company has begun looking at the selection of advisors.

Iusacell said it believes the time is appropriate to restructure debt as part "of the re-engineering process to refocus the company on high-value customers."

It added that it is in compliance with all its debt covenants.
