Iusacell receives acceleration notice

New York, May 3 - Grupo Iusacell, SA de CV said it received a notice of acceleration from the trustee for its $350 million of 14¼% notes due December 2006.

The Mexico City cellphone company said it received the notice dated March 21 from Bank of New York on April 29.

The acceleration is due to non-payment of interest since June 1, 2003.
