Fitch gives Itau Unibanco notes B+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Itau Unibanco Holding SA’s upcoming issuance of tier I unsecured subordinated notes an expected rating of B+(EXP).

The notes will be direct, unsecured and subordinated obligations of the issuer.

The notes will be issued by Itau Unibanco’s Grand Cayman branch for a principal amount and interest rate that will be determined at the time of the issuance. The notes will have no fixed maturity date as they are perpetual securities; however, the notes may be redeemed at Itau Unibanco’s option on or after the fifth anniversary of this issuance.
